Platano first opened its doors on July 15th, 2006. 

Platano is the desire to bring Salvadoran culture and cuisine in a nice warm atmosphere.  Owner, Irma Chavez Mischler started Kaliente in El Sobrante with her Mother, Maria Chavez in October of 2000.  She decided to step out on her own in 2006.
